Tiny Batman socks,

Wiggly little toes,

Dancing to the music,

What you’re thinking,

No-one knows.

But it doesn’t really matter

Cos you’re as happy as can be,

Giggling, gazing, wondering

Smiling so sweetly.

Richard, baby Richard,

Dreamy angel eyes,

Mama and Dada love you

Hearts burst full of pride.

Your handsome little face

Chases all the clouds away.

Sleep soundly baby Richard,

May sweet dreams come your way

Dream of sunshine and of laughter,

Tickled feet and clapping hands.

Slumber under starry moonlight

Cradled safe in Mama’s arms.

And when the sun peeks through your window

To wake you from your dreams

We’ll be right here in the morning

To meet you from your sleep.

I am a stay at home parent to a beautiful little girl. I am also an aspiring writer. I am currently working on a few projects; a novel that is set in Guernsey, post WWII and a children's book set in Ireland. I write two blogs; www.irenehalpinlong.com and www.hervoicefromthekitchenwindow.com. I also love to play the piano and flute (badly!) :) And I love, love, love to read, watch reality tv shows and do easy level Sudoku.
